Virginia Clean Water Farm Award
"Farmers are often called the original environmentalists. They understand that actions on land relate to the health of the state's waterways. For that reason, the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation congratulates those who use conservation practices that address threats to water quality."
Wayne & Sara Campbell, owners and operators of Campbell Springs Farm were the District's 2005 winner of this award. They follow a site-specific nutrient management plan and participate in District programs. The past 2 years they have hosted the Equine Education and Field Day that is a District sponsored program
